Product details
The work presented here by the German historian Karl Klüpfel (1810-1894) is a comprehensive portrait of perhaps the most popular monarch from the House of Habsburg. Emperor Maximilian I (1459-1519), also known as the last knight, was once the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. He utilized the most modern media of his time, such as printing and woodcut, for his propaganda purposes and pursued a successful marriage and inheritance policy. This is a reprint of the long out-of-print original edition from 1864.
