Viorel is overweight and listless. When his mother is found dead at the kitchen table one day, he is frozen with grief. Didn't she want to be buried in her homeland by the Black Sea? How is he supposed to manage that without money, a death certificate, or a coffin? Reluctantly, Viorel wraps his dead mother in a sleeping bag and takes it upon himself to transport her eastward. A hitchhiker tells him about the vampire myths of Transylvania, shortly after which the man dies in a tragic accident. Now with two bodies in tow, Viorel continues his journey toward Romania. He wants to bury his mother. And he will succeed! A trip to the wild east of Europe and a road movie full of eccentricities.
