Cahiers 04
German, Elisabeth Edl, Simone Weil, Wolfgang Matz, 2018Product details
June 1942. Simone Weil leaves Casablanca with her parents and arrives in New York by ship on July 6, from where she seeks a visa for England to join the Resistance movement. The fourth volume of the Cahiers contains Simone Weil's last notes up until shortly before her death, ending with the famous London notebook that she kept until her final days. On August 17, 1943, she died in Ashford, exhausted and despairing of her present, at the age of only 34. The notebooks in this volume, which completes the edition of the Cahiers, are the legacy of the philosopher and mystic Simone Weil.
