Bram (Abraham) Stoker was an Irish novelist, born on November 8, 1847, in Dublin, Ireland. "Dracula" was to become his most famous work, based on European folklore and tales of vampires. Although he is best known for writing "Dracula," Stoker wrote eighteen books before he died in 1912 at the age of sixty-four.
