The corpus of texts in this volume, consisting of 279 tablet pieces of varying sizes—comprising magical rituals, invocations, and festival rituals—was composed as early as the 16th and 15th centuries BCE. With a few contemporary writings as exceptions, the texts are predominantly preserved in copies from the 14th to 13th centuries. In addition to presenting the transliterated texts, the main focus is on a systematic organization of the text corpus and on dating the writings based on their script. The comparison of duplicate and parallel passages is facilitated by concordances. A main index, which includes technical details such as font size, find location, tone color, and special features of the tablet fragments, as well as directories of connected pieces and texts organized by script types, concludes the volume.
