Harry Potter can hardly wait for his holiday with the Dursleys to end. However, a small, self-punishing house-elf warns Harry of a deadly danger awaiting him at Hogwarts. Nevertheless, Harry returns to the castle and hears a rumor about a Chamber of Secrets that holds unknown terrors for wizards with Muggle parents. Now spells are being cast that turn people to stone, and a terrible warning is painted on the wall. The main suspect—always in the wrong place—is Harry. But something much more horrifying is yet to come.
