Harun Farocki was one of the most significant, intellectually sharpest, and influential German filmmakers. Since the 1960s, he has been known for his political and critical films as well as his demanding television contributions. Since the 1990s, he has been present in the art sector with nearly 90 films and 30 installations. His work is now represented in the most important collections of contemporary art and has influenced an entire generation of filmmakers, artists, and theorists.
