Even though it is not the largest big cat, the lion is often referred to as the "king of the animals." After all, its mane is quite impressive. In a lion pride, which consists of a group of females and cubs, it is the leader and gets to eat first from the prey that is caught together. Since the lion is a symbol of courage and strength, we also find numerous representations of this royal animal in our everyday lives.
