Pia Propella is upset: She has to leave her beloved Hamburg and her best friend to move with her parents and older brother to a sleepy small town. Her first day at school goes completely wrong: Pia is laughed at and alienates the entire class. That evening, after this disastrous day, something incredible happens: Pia discovers a surprising trick on her father's computer and gets the chance to turn back time by twenty-four hours and set everything right. When she experiences the day for the second time, Pia is determined not to clash with anyone and quickly becomes popular with everyone. But soon she starts to wonder: Where has the real Pia Propella gone? How can she get out of this goody-two-shoes situation? Should she turn back time once more? Fortunately, Pia eventually learns that one can be happy even without time travel.
