Product details
Cawa Younosi is considered one of the most innovative minds in the HR industry. With his bold ideas, he is already gradually revolutionizing the entire world of work: moving away from a purely administrative apparatus towards a system that is oriented towards the actual life circumstances of employees. He vehemently demands more commitment, more risk, more equality of opportunity, a fundamental rethinking in the world of work, and a contemporary corporate culture. In his book, he makes it very clear: Germany is squandering potential at every turn. These untapped potentials must be harnessed and utilized if we are to effectively address the shortage of skilled workers. And not only that: Germany would experience an unprecedented boost in productivity, paving the way for a four-day workweek and genuine international competitiveness.
The consequences of untapped potential in the workplace include a lack of self-confidence and self-awareness, insufficient recognition and support in the work environment, hierarchies and rigid structures, a lack of flexibility and innovation, as well as the discrepancy between employee skills and job requirements.
Strategies for unlocking potential for employees and companies include the role of education and lifelong learning, the impact on productivity and economic growth, as well as the promotion of diversity, creativity, and employee engagement.
The vision of a working world that utilizes the full human potential is shaped by Cawa Younosi's personal experiences and his professional journey to top management. At the age of 13, he fled from Afghanistan to Germany, supported himself after graduating from high school as a kiosk operator and mobile phone seller before starting his law studies. After various positions, including at Deutsche Telekom, he joined SAP in 2009, where he served as Global Head of People Experience until 2023.
