Far from the cliché of postcard idylls, Heidelberg photographer Alexander Ehhalt has created atmospheric panoramas capturing the charm of the historic university city. For this portrait, he often set out in the early morning hours to discover familiar sights in his hometown. Ehhalt showcases the winding alleys and picturesque rooftops, the gently flowing Neckar River, and the famous castle ruins, all illuminated in impressive black-and-white compositions. Our series, Edition Panorama Travel Library, has now been awarded five international prizes for its idea, design, and exceptional print quality. This confirms that the intensive work we invested in developing the concept and selecting materials has paid off. Even during the selection process, we, together with the photographers, place great importance on presenting the most beautiful and interesting motifs.
