The saints are regarded as models for a Christian life. They all followed very different paths in faith. What stands out particularly is the virtuousness in their behavior. Ludwig Mödl does not want to stop at this perspective, but instead presents several saints whose lives reflect something of the reality of God. Benedict, Francis, Thomas Aquinas, Teresa of Avila, Rupert Mayer, and Paul VI are introduced as messengers of God. These saints are not only role models but also a form of theology.
