The classic work on medicinal plants, now in its 8th edition, develops a perspective on the relationship between humans and the plant world based on anthroposophically oriented medicine. Pelikan approaches this in three steps: The first volume explores the phenomenon of the threefold organization of mineral, plant, animal, and human bodies. The second volume is dedicated to the world of etheric formative forces present in all living things, while the third volume illustrates the path from etheric formative forces to the beings of formative forces that represent their inner being, the world of elemental beings. The work provides a representation of the therapeutic effects of around 400 medicinal plants, accompanied by numerous illustrations by Walther Roggenkamp.
