Since the Bronze Age to the present day, glass has been a highly valued material and a popular medium, as its unique properties allow for the creation of objects with unparalleled plasticity that cannot be achieved with other materials and techniques. Initially, glass art aimed to imitate gemstones, but soon a distinct design language of glass emerged, incorporating not only the specific techniques of glass processing but also methods from other craft areas, such as ceramics, mosaics, and gemstone processing. After a brief excursion into the history of glass, the material, the required materials, and the tools for each step of the process are introduced.
