Diana Kleedorf, an internationally successful opera singer, is outed as supposedly lesbian on a talk show because she often performs in pants roles as a mezzo-soprano. A scandal! Her manager is outraged, and Diana is at a loss. She can't afford any trouble right now, as there is already enough stress in her personal life: her husband Michael has decided to have her implanted with the eggs of an unknown woman to fulfill his dreams of fatherhood. If it were up to him, the forty-two-year-old would already be in a Czech fertility clinic. Tormented by this idea and the unflattering media response to her "outing," Diana escapes into her next engagement: the Anzinger Baroque Summer begins, and in the small Bavarian town, all signs point to classical music, where she is set to play the lead role in Handel's opera Ariodante.
