"Tikkun Olam," the repair of the world, was the theme of the 6th International Bet Debora Conference held in Vienna in February 2013. A selection of the topics discussed and the outcomes are summarized in this volume. Women from 14 countries present and discuss ways to strengthen Jewish life and create a better world in general. Jewish women from Vienna share their life perspectives and their efforts towards "Tikkun Olam." Other authors address the opportunities and challenges faced by small Jewish communities between Holland and India, the role of Jewish women's organizations in the past and present, and the renewal of Jewish traditions through intercultural dialogue, ecology, and Holocaust education. Finally, the progress and setbacks of Jewish women on the path to halachic equality are also discussed. Contributions include those from Ann.
