The oeuvre of the artist Chava Pressburger is closely tied to her life story marked by violence and war, including the loss of her brother Petr Ginz, who was murdered in Auschwitz. As a Holocaust survivor, she emigrated from Prague to Israel in 1948, where she established herself as an internationally recognized artist. Initially, she created large-scale oil paintings that became increasingly abstract over the years. Later, Pressburger shifted her focus to the creation of handmade paper. In this process, she returns to the roots of life and experiences a harmony between the world and nature in those moments.
