The "Short Introduction to Judaism" by Rabbi Meir Ydit (1922-1992) has been used since the mid-1980s in Jewish religious education for students, in adult education – particularly due to the influx of Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union – or simply for self-study, regardless of the denomination. The clearly structured chapters, from the origins of Judaism to present-day Israel, provide an excellent insight into the world of Judaism and invite learning. A valuable and timeless book that is now finally available in a revised new edition.
