The 16 chapters of the book deal with environmental, medical, social and political-ethical issues. Until now, there has been no standard German-language work or textbook on questions of Jewish ethics. This shortcoming, as well as the steadily increasing interest of non-Jews in this topic, has prompted the editors to publish a book that addresses important aspects of Jewish ethics.
