The Passover Haggadah

Product details
The Haggadah is one of the most well-known and beloved books in Judaism. It tells the story of the liberation of the people of Israel from slavery and the exodus from Egypt, establishing a communal ritual for Passover. This Haggadah is read from right to left, as is customary in Hebrew, and features commentary by Rabbi Michael Shire that includes many historical references up to the present day, making it interesting even for non-Jewish readers. Its illustrations are facsimile reproductions of medieval illuminated manuscripts of Ashkenazi and Sephardic origin from the famous collection of the British Library in London. The Ashkenazi Haggadah prepares for the Passover ritual, while the Barcelona Haggadah, with its intricately designed panels and colorful borders adorned with animals and foliage, illustrates it.
