Product details

Terms and definitions, established through tradition and routine, often lead to the stagnation of (thought) movements in theology. In contrast, Klaus Hemmerle has drawn attention to the inner dynamics of religious truth. Guided by this awareness of the dynamic nature of truth and in dialogue with various modern thinkers (Heidegger, Levinas, Ricoeur, Waldenfels, among others) and with Pope Francis, Klaus Kienzler outlines his concept for a renewed theology. He presents the thoughts of the former Bishop of Aachen as a basis for developing new approaches to major theological themes. This book aims to examine the theological insights of Klaus Hemmerle and to propose a framework for a renewed theology. Hemmerle never developed a complete theology; as a professor, he taught lectures in the field of fundamental theology.
