The volume contains Rahner's essays on the doctrine of grace. It begins with his first essay on the history of grace theology concerning Clement of Alexandria. This is followed by significant contributions on scholastic grace doctrine and the lively discussion of "nouvelle théologie" surrounding Henri de Lubac, as well as essays prompted by Hans Küng on the doctrine of justification. Essays addressing the central question of grace experience and other ecumenically inspired issues follow. The second part consists of reviews of works on grace theology. The third part includes the edition of the first two chapters of the Latin lecture codex "De Gratia Christi.".
