They are not easily disturbed and enjoy no longer having to prove anything to anyone. They feel a great zest for life, are curious, and active. Ute Karen Seggelke has photographed 21 women who have surpassed their sixtieth year and asked them questions about their childhood, their families, love and death, curiosity and fears. Their honest portraits represent an entire generation of women and make it clear that the mature years bring enrichment.
