The course impresses with its clear didactic structure of 36 catechetical units divided into 6 chapters. An introduction explains how these units can be combined into three different course models depending on the First Communion group and time budget. At the same time, the course offers numerous additional options for catechists on-site to combine the components into a coherent First Communion course. Within the chapters, the course provides content-related, experiential, biblically and liturgically influenced components, each methodologically characterized as meditative, creative, or action-oriented. Preparation for the First Confession is integrated into the course book. The accompanying CD-ROM contains all the templates, worksheets, and songs.
