This large print edition of the Gotteslob for the Archdiocese of Freiburg is bound in black cowhide leather with gilded edges. The dimensions are 13.0 x 19.8 cm.

Starting with Advent 1, 2013, the new Gotteslob, the song and prayer book for Catholic Christians, was introduced in all German and Austrian dioceses as well as in South Tyrol. What’s new is:

More than its predecessor, the new Gotteslob is now also a book of faith that accompanies you every day, every year, and throughout your entire life. The Gotteslob for the Archdiocese of Freiburg has become more comprehensive. It includes a larger selection of prayers and songs. About half of the hymns are new additions, including familiar ones from all eras, from Gregorian chants to Taizé songs. Additionally, half of the content consists of ecumenical hymns. The Gotteslob for the Archdiocese of Freiburg contains three illustrations, including a depiction of the Freiburg diocese, a brief overview of the history of the Freiburg diocese, and the Freiburg local calendar. The consistently two-color printing provides better organization and clarity. The generous typesetting makes it easier to read, especially for older individuals.

The Gotteslob is also available in dark blue artificial leather with natural edges, in dark red artificial leather with gilded edges, and in large print with dark blue artificial leather and natural edges.
