The current special issue of Kindergarten today has been completely updated in light of the new Federal Child Protection Act and expanded with important chapters. It explains the legally mandated protection mandate in cases of child welfare endangerment and makes it manageable for practice in childcare facilities. Both preventive child protection and protection through interventions are addressed. In addition to important background knowledge, numerous practical examples demonstrate how to act correctly. A focus is placed on communication with affected children and parents, as well as on issues of risk assessment and assistance in cases of endangerment.
