LiSKit helps answer the question of what should be considered in a holistic concept for language education and which aspects play a particularly important role. The LiSKit sheets provide impulses to support language and literacy development in children, and they also serve as a tool for self-evaluation. Professionals can determine for each component: What is my/our current status on this topic? Where are my/our strengths and weaknesses? Where are changes sensible and necessary? The 32-page sheet covers six areas: Equipment and Facilities, Activities of the Professional, Interaction in Selected Situations: Self-Assessment, Interaction in Selected Situations: Peer Observation, Language Acquisition, Concept Development and Qualification, Collaboration and Networking. Each area is further divided into individual components.
