Product details
Rudolf Unger (1876 - 1942), a Germanist and literary historian, built upon the insights of Germanists Wilhelm Dilthey and Heinrich Wölfflin in his work and opposed literary positivism. Among other things, Unger developed a psychological typology. In the present work, Unger examines, continuing the Diltheyan psychology of experience, structure, and types, the problem of death and immortality in the poetic creations of Herder, Novalis, and Kleist. This is a reprint of the original edition from 1922.
