Sometimes rhymed, sometimes open, the lyrical abstractions freely and unrestrainedly evoke wild associations that can be imagined as curious fantasies. Like through a kaleidoscope, fragments of thought and word connections emerge around the great themes of life: love, pain, loss, truth, freedom, and loneliness.

Katharina Kaufmann studied Protestant theology at the Protestant Theological Faculty in Vienna (1st study section) and completed training to become a Protestant deaconess at the Martin Luther College of the Diakonie de la Tour Waiern, Carinthia.

2018 Winner of the 11th Carinthian Poetry Prize of the Klagenfurt City Works among more than 250 participants.
