The GK-WHG, published by Schink/Fellenberg, is now the fourth commentary in the series of community commentaries on environmental law. The Water Resources Act (WHG) forms the main part of German water law. It contains provisions regarding the protection and use of surface waters and groundwater, as well as regulations on the development of water bodies and water management planning, including flood protection. The GK-WHG provides readers with a current, clear, and application-oriented presentation of the Water Resources Act that also meets scientific standards. The aim of the commentary is to offer practically applicable solutions. Special emphasis is placed on highlighting the EU legal foundations. Additionally, the subordinate legal framework and technical regulations are also taken into account due to their significant importance.
