In the heart of Berlin, a young postwoman fights for women's rights at the Reichspost and for her own happiness. Berlin 1919: In the Brunnenviertel, everyone knows Regine, who grew up here and delivers the mail every day. Her father was already a proud civil servant at the Reichspost. When she learns that there are plans to lay off the female postal workers and give their jobs to the men returning from the war, Regine refuses to give up without a fight. She hopes for the support of her best friend Evi, who works as a telephone operator at the post office. However, Evi is searching for her missing brother, who is supposedly back in the city.
