Grief is an emotion that all people encounter multiple times throughout their lives. No one can escape it. Grief - for the loss of attachment, for an object, a loved one who has died, for a completed chapter in life, or even for lost love. Grief is a phenomenon that occurs in all cultures. It can be observed in toddlers as early as the 3rd or 4th month. The aim of this book is to illustrate how children at various developmental stages respond to the loss of a loved one, what influences these reactions, and what appropriate support, help, and assistance through social work can look like.
