Romulus is a young soldier of the great Roman Empire. When he discovers a burned-down enemy village during a campaign in wild Germania, he finds a small boy. Fascinated by the wild creature, Romulus saves him and suddenly must learn to bear new responsibilities. Symbolically representing the land where he was found, the child is given the name Germania. When the Senate decides to send Germania to Rome for training, their paths separate. After ten years, Germania is assigned to a campaign in Germania as a Roman soldier, to be deployed against his former people. Romulus, who has since become a senator, is to lead this campaign and finds himself facing a completely new man after all these years. He falls for him again in a completely different way, but he faces a problem.
