This is a book by and with Sebastian 23, who first performed at a poetry slam in 2000. That was a long time ago, back when poetry slam was a subcultural phenomenon, taking place in wild, small bars and pubs. On stage, wooden clubs and saber-toothed tigers were still allowed. Nowadays, poetry slams still occur in dimly lit corners, but they are also found on large, well-lit theater stages, on television, or even outdoors in front of thousands of spectators. And right in the middle of it all, you can still find Sebastian 23.
