Product details
In the 1960s and 70s, visionary architectures emerged in Europe that fundamentally challenged conventional ideas about living. Many of these buildings have fallen into disrepair, and the architects have been forgotten—although they still live there. Maak has visited them and designed an "Archaeology of the Utopian," which shows that crucial ideas for the world of tomorrow can be found in the ruins. Johanna Diehl has created impressive photographs there that are strikingly poignant. In the ruins of utopian modernism, she discovers images of revolutionary ways of life that feel surprisingly relevant today.
