Harald Puetz plays with the richness and complexity of color. Throughout his long career, the painter discovered, alongside the effects of image and space, that light collects and becomes tangible in color traces. Inspired by this, he experimented with color overlays, using both warm and vibrant tones, always navigating the tension between light and dark. His striped, irregularly painted gradients convey a strong light effect and are therefore multifaceted in expression: associative-landscape, strongly spatial, sometimes almost floating, nearly otherworldly. Harald Puetz, born in 1950 in Bamberg, lives and works as a freelance artist in Munich and Imperia, Italy.
