Simone Forti
German, 2014Product details
Simone Forti (born 1935) has dedicated herself entirely to experimentation and improvisation in her working method. "I am interested in what we know about things through our bodies," says the artist, who is considered a key figure in postmodern dance and Minimal Art. Her most famous works include minimal objects made of plywood and ropes, such as the famous "Dance Constructions" of 1960/61, which produced radically new dances. Simone Forti's entire artistic range is also evident in holograms, series of drawings, sound works, videos, and even documentations of performances. Experts and companions shed profound light on the basics as well as new scientific findings in Forti's work.
