The collection is regarded by Spanish academics as the best cross-manufacture collection outside of Spain. Over the years, the authors have become experts in this area of collection, with publications in the journal Keramos, exhibitions, and an extensive library of over 500 relevant books and countless catalogs. The volume consists of introductory texts on the decorative and technical aspects of each manufacture or region, accompanied by numerous color illustrations and analyses. The following catalog section presents over 320 selected exhibits from the Feit collection, including images of the backs, marks, and form- and decoration-relevant registered and predominantly illustrated color comparison pieces. Each of the introductory texts on the manufactures provides a detailed description of the essential decoration periods.
