Product details

Alfred Woschitz's stories take us back to a small village in Carinthia during the 1960s and 1970s. What unfolds is less a nostalgic look back than a careful, precise work of remembrance: a writing against the forgetting of a childhood that was not yet structured by constant sensory overload, consumer promises, and digital parallel worlds.

He does not conjure up a perfect world but reconstructs a past way of life - sparse, limited, normalized, and precisely in that, rich in experiences. "Hirntattoos" is a book that does not impose itself but settles in slowly. Woschitz's loving, humorously melancholic gaze back opens a resonance space for one's own past. It is a quiet book that lingers long after reading - not through loudness, but through precision.

Konrad Peter Grossmann, psychotherapist, author, and songwriter, was born in 1957 in Villach and has lived and worked in Carinthia and Vienna since 1979. He is a bibliophile structural engineer with several years of experience abroad as a project manager in humanitarian aid projects. Since 2005, he has primarily been active in the field of art and cultural mediation.

He has conceptually contributed to interdisciplinary art projects together with the Villach musician and composer Uli Scherer, who founded the association Welt&Co/Kulturverein, which operates the Ewigkeitsgasse art space in Vienna. Additionally, he organizes numerous group and solo exhibitions as well as book presentations for national and international authors.

He was a leading figure in the cross-border literature project "Politics & Poetry," which was implemented in Berlin, Vienna, and the federal states of Austria as "Literaturtangente Wien-Berlin." He has contributed to several book projects, is an editor, lecturer, and author. Furthermore, he is a member of the sculptor association kunstwerk krastal, president of the Carinthian Women Writers Association, and chairman of Welt&Co/Kulturverein in Vienna.
