A countryside wedding in a traditional style with a wedding procession, wedding wine, and everything that goes with it. Among the guests are Paul Kendzierski, the district police officer from Nieder-Olm, along with Klara, who has been the bride Simone's best friend since childhood. However, when the bride is kidnapped, another wedding guest goes missing and remains untraceable in the following days. Kendzierski, the Selztal version of Schimanski, is asked for his help and quickly resumes his own investigation instead of trusting the criminal police in Mainz. It is only at the last moment that he realizes how all the loose ends of his investigation are connected. In the process, Kendzierski almost completely overlooked that there were two types of wedding wine at this wedding: two bottles of fine dry Riesling.
