Sandra, 35, recently separated, is looking for a fresh start in Cologne. She finds it at the simple riding school Weideland, where she promptly falls in love: with D'Artagnan, a beautiful horse that she buys against all reason. The princes she meets there are anything but convincing - a hot-tempered farmer, a constantly drunk stable boy, and two riders, one cold as ice and the other stuck in the linguistic style of the eighties. Weideland offers neither princes nor glamour - if it weren't for the breathtaking Friesian stallions trained for horse shows. But then one of the valuable animals is stabbed. Is it really the act of a disturbed horse ripper? As the police prove incompetent, Sandra begins to investigate on her own - putting herself in danger and into romantic entanglements...
