At low altitude, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and his two companions are to explore enemy tank units during a reconnaissance flight. "Without a precise target, crews are sacrificed. It is the duty of the staffs to issue their orders [...], they demand reconnaissance that is impossible to obtain". Antoine de Saint-Exupéry survived the mission and published his book in 1942.
