The first and only regional crime thriller

Shortly after a reading from his new crime novel "Heidefieber," the writer Armin Breddeloh is found dead in a pond near Bad Bevensen. He is dead and has two glass eyes—just like a victim in his novel! Chief Inspector Gerold and Chief Detective Schubert from Uelzen begin their investigation and have a first suspicion: Did another crime author envy his colleague's success? Soon after, the authors of the novels "Spiel mir das Lied vom Westerwald" and "Showdown auf Juist" are also affected, and there are soon victims at Tegernsee, in Fläming, and in Styria as well. However, the special task force "Heidefieber" is groping in the dark, and the private detective hired by the Association of German-speaking Crime Authors turns out to be a dud. It is only when the perpetrator leaves a confession letter that things suddenly start to move...
