The newly revised 7th edition fundamentally represents the state of terminological development at the beginning of the 21st century. Trends of change and progress in the sports science discussion necessitated a revision of the multi-faceted thesaurus underlying the book. To ensure the relevant subject-specific knowledge and expertise, over 60 new contributors have been added. Compared to the previous edition, the volume has increased by about 100 pages. This foundational work on terminology is thus an important reference for anyone interested in sports science topics.
