Resource-oriented mindfulness in the sense of "Mindfulness" and "Embodiement" has proven to be effective in clinical practice as well as in general health promotion and vocational training. Unintentional awareness of bodily sensations, feelings and thoughts enables inner flexibility and appropriate action. Embodied self-awareness promotes resilience and self-care. Difficulty listening to one's needs and the tendency to disregard one's boundaries are common phenomena. Using the example of people with eating disorders, this book shows how alienation from one's own body can be countered by somatopsychic self-observation.
