Procrastination - chronic excessive delaying - is a clinically relevant work disorder, specifically a problem of self-regulation, which often represents an independent mental disorder in psychotherapeutic practice with serious consequences for the lives of those affected. The new edition of the manual provides a user-oriented description of the treatment of procrastination. After outlining the disorder's characteristics and diagnostics, as well as creating an explanatory model for the development and maintenance of the disorder, the various treatment components are explained in detail. The practical approach is clearly structured and divided into different cognitive-behavioral therapy components, which can be combined depending on the individual's specific issues and time constraints, and whose effectiveness is scientifically proven.
