The edition contains 24 original compositions for piano in all keys of the circle of fifths. Each piece includes notes about the character and mood of the respective key, which can serve as inspiration for the interested player. For many centuries, renowned musicians, scholars, and music theorists have been engaged in the question of the character traits and expressive qualities of certain keys. This topic is often debated controversially in professional circles. This booklet aims to demonstrate that different keys can indeed exhibit distinct characters. Inspiration for this can be found, among other sources, in the book by musicologist Friedrich Oberkogler, "Animal Zodiac and Planetary Forces in Music." In it, the twelve major and minor keys of the circle of fifths are linked to the twelve zodiac signs in the night sky.
