The amount of work, effort, and elevation involved in the photographs in this volume is hard to imagine. Nowadays, when anyone can produce print-ready images with a better smartphone, there still exists the classic photographer: The author took several years to complete this collection of perfect photos. Waiting for the right weather, then the ascent, and once again waiting for the right light – only through this process can such photos be created, as seen in this volume. The images are accompanied by the well-informed texts of a geographer.
