Target group: Young learners in Germany and abroad with no prior knowledge of German. Learning objective: The course leads to the level of the German Certificate across three volumes. Pingpong neu addresses the requirements that modern language teaching places on a teaching resource for young people. Authentic everyday language is conveyed through youth-related topics and situations. The dialogues and scenarios are designed so that learners can communicate with each other from the very first lesson. Active learning keeps interest in the new language and its context alive. Group work, games, and songs provide variety and stimulate different learning impulses. The learning material is presented in short, manageable units that are self-contained. At the end of each unit, there is an entertaining reading text with exercises for reading comprehension, followed by a summary of the content covered.
