Henning Diers is an artist who has engaged with the Our Father, the most well-known prayer among Christians. What he has discovered, he expresses in his language - painting. On 12 large-format canvases, he has captured his feelings and associations related to individual sections of the text using various techniques. The paintings are complemented by meditations written by theologians and laypeople in response to the images. Where does the Our Father come from? This question is explored by former district pastor Walter Lück, who taught Hebrew at the University of Oldenburg for 16 years for aspiring theologians. In his contribution, he investigates, among other things, the Jewish roots of the prayer. "My Our Father" is the section of the book in which people from different cultural backgrounds and regions of the world present their versions of the Our Father in various languages.
